Purpose:
• The Business Analyst studies and analyzes Business requirements, highlights areas of improvement and recommends cost-effective business solutions.
• Coordinates with business users and IT Teams to ensure that the business processes are clearly defined and agreed before embarking on the implementation.
• Conducts business analysis and feasibility studies to identify IT/telecomm requirements.
• Participates in information systems development phases e.g. preparation of requirements specifications, benchmarking H/W products, Software &tools, etc…

Principal Accountabilities:
• Liaise with the Bus/SUs to ensure that all business processes, requirements, etc.. are clearly defined, integrated and are in line with the Company approved IT strategy.
• Analyzes proposed business process changes/requirements that might impact on the existing It systems/infrastructure. Recommends a feasible and cost-effective solutions for implementation.
• Studies and analyzes the user’s request background and business functions including methods, procedures, manuals, etc.. to identify Critical Success Factors (CSFs) for the Department, highlights areas of improvement and anticipate possible problem areas.
• Conducts necessary analytical interviews with users, visits sites to comprehend their business and determines their requirements, searches for similar studies of some problem/areas within the Group Companies and analyses the technical computing resources required to meet user’s requirements.
• Discusses requirements/analysis findings and possible alternative solutions with users, conducts necessary presentations and contacts suppliers to inquire about the availability of solutions satisfying requirements.
• Develops and analyses possible alternative solutions e.g. proposing enhancement of existing systems, evaluating suitable packages, highlighting pros/cons/costs of each one and recommending alternative.
• Reports findings to IT team Leaders and concerned Bus/SUs for approval/decision making.
• Ensuring completion and accuracy of documentation/reports necessary for feasibility studies and implementation.
• Prepares Project plan including risk and resources analysis impact on other projects, priorities of required tasks, project network assignments time schedule and budget.
• Participate I Project Teams, carries out project tasks, adherences to project standards and ensures that the project implementation is in-line with the agreed plan.
• Prepares required data in coordination IT concerned Teams for system testing, conducts necessary tests for suites under multi-user condition, verifies results, prepares recommended corrective actions if needed.
• Studies feasibility of users’ requests to amend/enhance the existing systems and advises Team Leader of appropriate action.
m. Ability to transfer expert knowledge to team members including UAE National Developees.
• Carries-out similar or related activities as and when directed by ITPC Team Leader.
• Performs duties in a safe, professional and efficient manner, complying with HSE requirements related to all job activities.
• Familiarize & maintain proper and continuous knowledge of company’s HSE procedures, rules and regulations and abide by them at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
• B. Sc. In Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• 8-10 years experience in Business Information Systems and Support with at least 5 years experience in large Oil & Gas organization.
• Diversified business experience and a broad knowledge spectrum of applications, infrastructure and business tools.
• Excellent command of the English of the language, very good communication & analytical skills.
