A Large Global Resources Company is undergoing a major expansion of their world-class mining operation in South America. As part of their expansion they are beginning the construction of a new dedicated direct ship-loading port and mine development – Port and Mine Expansion Project estimated cost of US$1.4 billion.

As a result we are seeking an experienced Construction / Area Project Manager Marine, as a client side leader, to help bring this significant project in on time.

The main project consists of the construction of a new, multi-user, direct ship-loading port facility. Early stage technical work has recently commenced. The port is currently expected to be completed at the end of 2012. The port project includes a rail loop, stacker/reclaimers, new rolling stock, 2km sea trestle, channel dredging etc.

The mine expansion project comprises mining operations and associated infrastructure. With a large reserve base the operation consists of two mining operations. This will include relocation of roads, electrical, drainage, water, construction of new buildings, preparation plant etc.
Your experience will including a civil marine specialist background with experience of project managing the dredging, design and building of major marine structures and may have been gained in mining, construction, oil/gas etc.
