Professional Experience:

1. Press tools:

Job Press tool Design.

Description
Design of press tools for components like Backplates, servo-front & rear shells, Rims, Webs, Cable Guide plates & Brackets etc.

Responsibilities
Designing and Detailing the Drawings for Jig Boring and wire cut.
Resolving the Problems during and Try out stage.

2. Jigs and Fixtures:
Job Design of Jigs and Fixture for products like Master & slave cyclinders, tractor brake housings, cover plates & actuation discs, links & pull rods for tractor brakes.

Description a) Holding fixtures, locators, drill jigs, tooling layouts.
b) hardening fixtures.

Responsibilities
Resolving the Problems during machining and Try out stage,
Assuring that the jig or fixture provides exact repeatability.

3. Gauges:

Job Design of gauges

Description a) Gauges checking ang holes, port holes main bores in master & wheel cyl.
b) Gauges checking position of mounting holes, pad fouling, flatness in backplates.
c) Gauges checking holes positions & dimns in tractor housings & act-discs.
Improved the Quality of the end product by simplifying the job of our inspection department.

Role: ASSISTANT ENGINEER

1. Designing Tools for the Customer given samples.
Activities involved:
a. Designing the tools required.
b. Making the detail drawing of the Tool design.
c. Submitting it for approval.
d. Implementing Corrections if any.

2. Giving the technical Report Involves:
Understanding the component or drawing supplied by the customer.
Considering the Parameters like Machine Capacity, achievable dimns,
whether it is feasible at our end.

3. Maintaining the Records required for the design department.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Development and COMMONISATION of a PRESS TOOLS for various Brake Assemblies by which the production rate increased three times, the actual & setting time dropped to greater extent.
• Designed and developed Various components like Back plate, Rim, Web, Rear and Front shells for TRW, NISSAN, GMI, DIAMLER CHRYSLER, TOYOTA, M&M, HONDA, FORD, MARUTHI and TATA MOTORS Brake assemblies within the short period.
• Involved in Reverse Engineering of Imported Progressive, Deep drawing, Forming & Trimming toolings & localising & reducing the tooling costs.
• When I was a machine operator , I gave no off suggestions & they were implemented.

OTHER EXPOSURES:

• Can operate independently Machines like Lathe, Milling, Drilling & NC machines etc.
• Involved on Tool assembly and New tools Tryout.
• Troubleshooting on Service tools.
• Introduced new concepts and modifications on existing tools for improvements like POKA YOKE, TPM, Process reduction and Quality improvements.

Auto CAD 2007, Mechanical desktop, Auto desk Inventor, PRO-E
