Project Description In this project, the traditional air brake system of Ashok Leyland is modeled and analysed. Stress distribution is found to be uneven, brake assembly is redesigned and analysed, through Ansys a FEA package. The Ansys results shown the redesigned model is better than the existing mode. With the redesigned model, Friction in brake drum, skidding distance and the brake lining material life is increased.
