ľ Improvement in Copper Sulfate quality by reducing Manganese levels using alternate oxidizing reagent.
ľ Review of Magnesium Removal Section of leaching circuit to reduce Magnesium levels to improve current ratings in cell house.

ľ Bacterial Leaching of Metals from HZL Mine Tailings: Isolation & development of T.ferrooxidans & T.thiooxidans for BIOX-column studies on lean Zinc concentrate (9-10% grade) to evaluate the project economics. Proposal of 25000 Mtpy Zinc metal production by heap bioleaching submitted.
ľ Preliminary studies on Bioflotation of Lead-Zinc Ore to reduce depressant reagents (used for graphitic carbon, galena, pyrite mineral depression) for Zinc flotation.
ľ Commissioning of pilot plant for Microwave aided Mineral Comminution at RA Mine of Hindustan Zinc Ltd for efficient size reduction & increased throughput of grinding circuit.
ƒæ Effect of microwaves for Lead ¡V Zinc flotation. The process was validated at bench scale.

ľ Technology development for Microwave aided Mineral Comminution.
ľ Microbial Treatment of Zinc Hydrometallurgical Plant Effluent using Sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB). SRB were isolated, screened & adapted to sustain Zinc concentration up to 500 ppm in acidic medium. Assessment of process in anaerobic bioreactor with effluent treatment capacity of 30L.
ľ Setting up Mineral Biotechnology Laboratory - The first ever lab amongst the group companies of Vedanta Resources Plc.
