Projects::
===========

1> Project (M.Tech):- Implementation of the D-algorithm
----------------------------------------------------

This project is an implementation of the D-Algorithm for generation of test vectors for faulty digital circuits. The test generation is done for fan-out free combinational circuits and single stuck-at fault model, where the circuit and a stuck-at fault line are given.
It is being implemented in C++ in Microsoft Windows domain with Microsoft Studio Visual C++ 6.0 IDE.
 Project is being supervised by Dr. (Mrs.) Shefali Bose, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Calcutta University for M.Tech project with a team size of 1.

2> Project (M.Tech):- A comparative study of Crossover operators in Genetic Algorithms
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The work is a comparative study which demonstrates the two most popular crossover techniques ---- (1) The PMX Crossover (2) The Cycle Crossover in the implementation for the Genetic algorithm for Standard Cell Placement. The two crossovers have been implemented with complexity of O(n^2) in previous studies. The project has been implemented with an improved complexity of O(n).
The project has been implemented in C with Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 IDE.
 Project is being supervised by Dr. (Mrs.) Shefali Bose, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Calcutta University for M.Tech project with a team size of 1.

3> Project :- Minimization of Canonical Expressions by Binary Decision Diagram
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The project was executed in C. The project was conceptualized from a journal paper. The paper used the minimization of canonical expressions using the 0/1 states. The work was further extended for using the Don’t – Care conditions in the Binary Decision Diagram.
 This project was under my guidance for the final year project for the B.Sc.(Comp. Sc.)(Hons) students. The total number of team members was 4.

4> Project (B.Tech):- A study of VLSI Placement Algorithms
-------------------------------------------------------

This project is a simulation for the placement methods for with a comparative study of the Force Directed Placement Method, Simulated Annealing Method and Simulated Evolution Method. The objective of the work is to present a survey of the cell placement techniques with emphasis on macro placement.
This project is done in C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 IDE.
 Project is being supervised by Dr. (Mrs.) Shefali Bose, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Calcutta University for B.Tech(Final Year) project with a team size of 2.

5> Project:- Car Parts Dealing-Information Handling
------------------------------------------------

Project ‘Car Parts Dealing-Information Handling’ is done in Two-Tier Client/Server Architecture.
The project was implemented with JSP (Java Server Page) and Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 used in the back-end to handle database of car parts and HTML & JSP files in front-end. JDK(Java Development Kit) 1.3.1 and internal Apache Tomcat 4.0.6 Server of NetBeans 3.5.1 to handle JSP on Microsoft Windows 2000 platform
 Project Supervised by Mr. K. Mukherjee, faculty of Indian School of Advanced Studies, Kolkata with team size of 3
