WORK EXPERIENCE

Completed 6 years of post qualification experience in Bank Account & Reconciliation, Joint Venture Accounting, Project Accounting and cost accounting. Worked on systems for reporting from project offices to head office including Preparation of Budgets, Analysis of Cost Overruns, Project Data Sheets, Monthly Reporting of Cash and Bank transactions, Invoicing, Receivable Tracking and Audits. CURRENT WORKING EXPERIENCE

AMERICAN EXPRESS ( I ) LTD.
From February 2001 to date: MEMBER- Global Accounting and Reconciliation – EMEA (Europe Middle East Asia & Africa) region)

AEIPL is a center for global processing of financial transactions of the American Express Company with a global network right from Asia Pacific and Japan, Australia and New Zealand to Europe, the United States and Latin American countries.

After Joining AMEX, migrated the entire bank reconciliation research and clearance and reporting function of Europe, Middle East & Africa Region from UK office to India in September 2001.

 Research and clearance of outstanding items in American Express Europe Bank Accounts
 Process Mapping of bank accounts which resulted in significant reduction of outstanding items and improvement of Balance Sheet.
 Reviewing business process including related automation systems to achieve cost efficiency
 Participated in Six Sigma Project.
 Preparation of exposure reports and generating the monthly MIS for management decision making.
 Participate & facilitated quality projects with a view to reduce cost and increase quality.



PREVIOUS WORKING EXPERIENCE:

LOUIS BERGER INTERNATIONAL INC., USA.
From January 1999 to February 2001: (Project Accountant at New Delhi Office)

Worked with Louis Berger International, Inc., one of the largest multidisciplinary international Consultancy and engineering design firms in the field of infrastructure, in the capacity of Project Accountant for the South Asia & Central Asian Republics at Regional Office in New Delhi. Responsibilities and duties included the following:
 Maintaining the accounts for the Regional Office and monthly reporting to the Headquarters in USA;
 Periodic Reviewing, controlling and monitoring of Accounting and Invoicing of Project Offices in the form of an internal audit function;
 Maintaining project accounts, preparing and analyzing financial reports;
 Preparation of final statement of inputs and claims and final invoices to the Clients/Funding Agencies after completion of project and winding up of project offices;
 Deduction & deposit of taxes at source, issue of the Certificates;
 Getting accounts audited for the Regional and Project Offices in India and submitting the Income Tax Returns;
 Assisting in preparation of financial proposals; and
 On award of projects, making applications to the Reserve Bank of India for obtaining permission for opening Project Offices.

JOINT VENTURE OF LOUIS BERGER INTERNATIONAL, INC., USA & BCEOM FRANCE:
From March 97 to December 1998 (Asst. Project Accountant at Jaipur, India)

Worked with the Joint Venture of Louis Berger International Inc. USA. and BCEOM, France as Assistant Accountant for the Rajasthan State Highways Project funded by World Bank, the Project with Rajasthan State PWD, as the Client involved in preparation of detailed engineering design for approx. 1,500 km. of roads in the State. The responsibilities and duties included:

 Day to day accounting for the project and maintenance of account books;
 Preparation of Cash Budgets and Cash Flow Statements;
 Preparation of Monthly Invoices and Realisation of Payments;
 Periodic reporting of joint venture accounts to the joint venture partners; and
 Taking care of general office administration.


PROJECT EXPERIENCE:

American Express Europe Ltd., Brighton, UNITED KINGDOM
Project for Research & Clearance of aged entries in American Express Europe Ltd. for Europe Middle East Asia & Africa region Bank Accounts. This project was located at AMEX House, Burgees Hills, Brighton, United Kingdom. After completion of this project all accounts have been migrated to India at AMEX India.

Louis Berger International Inc., USA. (Project Accounts Manager at New Delhi)

 Rajasthan State Highways Project – Project Coordinating Consultants: Overall maintenance of account books, Preparation of Cash Budgets and Cash Flow Statements, Preparation of Monthly Invoices and Realisation of Payments. Periodic reporting of joint venture accounts to the joint venture partners.

 Rajasthan Urban Institutional Development Project (RUIDP): Maintenance of Account books and preparation of cash flow statements and Final invoice of the project. Preparation of closer accounts of the project and file the Tax Return.

 Rajasthan Institutional Development and strengthening Project (IDS): Maintenance of Account books and Preparation of Monthly Invoice of the project and also the final closer invoice. Prepare the closer account of the project and file the Tax Return.

 Tamilnadu Institutional Development Project (IDS) Preparation of monthly internal invoice to the Lead Consultant and also the final accounts of the project of LBG part.

 Mizoram State Highways Project: Preparation of monthly internal invoice to the lead consultant (ICT) and also the financial accounts of the project of LBG part.

 Detail Engineering Design of NH-2, Agra - Bhognipur Project: Preparation of account books, Cash Budgets and Cash Flow Statements, Preparation of Monthly Invoices and Realisation of Payments and also prepare the final Invoice of the project. Periodic reporting of joint venture accounts to the joint venture partners. Prepare the closer accounts of the project and file the Tax Return.


EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Master of Commerce: Master of Commerce with specialization in Financial Accounts & Business Statistics from Dayanand College, Maharshi Dayanand University Ajmer (Rajasthan).

Bachelor of Commerce: Bachelor of Commerce from Dayanand College, Maharshi Dayanand University Ajmer (Rajasthan).

SAP R/3 Financial Module: Attended the 3 months corporate training of SAP R/3 Financial Module at ER&DCI, Electronic Research Center at Noida. The course aimed at introducing the functional knowledge of SAP.

Post Graduation Diploma Two-Year Diploma from Indian Education Center (IEC), Ajmer, India
in Computer Application: (Rajasthan). Comprising Windows based Programs. The Training was for 2 years including 3 Project in different languages and 4 Semesters.
Excellent proficiency in EXCELL and WORD.

Programming: Programming in different languages viz., FoxBASE, Visual Basic and Turbo – C. Projects in these platforms involved preparation of programs for payroll systems, invoicing and handling of purchase and sales orders.

Accounting: Good experience on NAC Accounting System Software and Tally Accounting Software, Newviews Accounting Software.
